Role of the Court

The role of the Court is set out as follows in clause XIV of the Charter:
 
There shall be a Court of the University. The role of the Court shall be to provide a public forum for communication and discussion of the University’s activities. The composition and functions of the Court shall be as provided by Ordinance.

Court Membership

2024 meeting

The annual meeting of the Court will be held in Aberystwyth Arts Centre Cinema on Thursday, 16 May 2024, at 2:00pm.

The order of the meeting will be as follows:

  1. Welcome address by the Chancellor, Lord Thomas of Cwmgïedd.
  2. Report on the work of the University by the Chair of Council, Ms Meri Huws.
  3. Address by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof Jon Timmis, on developments at the University.
  4. Presentation by Darrell Abernethy, [Title TBC]
  5. Bayanda Vundamina, Students Union.

In keeping with previous years, there will be an opportunity for Court members to ask questions following each of the above items.

You are welcome to contribute to the meeting in Welsh, and simultaneous interpretation facilities will be provided.
